[b]Journey´s Costa Rica has been awarded The Code of Conduct[/b]

The Code of Conduct for the protection of children and adolescents against Sexual Exploitation on Travel and Tourism is an iniciative of the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), in cooperation with the private sector and the ECAPT organization, with the objective of prevent sexual exploitation on children and adolescents all over the world.

In Costa Rica, the Code of Conduct is a proyect from the Tourism industry that has been ongoing since 2003, and it is supported by the Paniamor Foundation , the National Tourism Chamber, the Costa Rican Association of Tour Operators, the Costa Rican Rent-A-Car Association, the Costa Rican Hotel Chmabr and the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT).

This project has a whole national expantion and during its first stage it managed to capacitate nearly 6000 people on the tourism industry. It has several of the most recognized enterprises in the Hotel, Car Rental, Taxi Services and Tour Operator industry.
